Schedule of Events for our 50th high school class reunion, Alliance NE,

Friday evening ~ August 19th
casual dress code ~ 6 pm to 10 pm
A get together to be held at Janice Phillip Lawrence's home ~ 1640 Emerson
All classmates are encouraged to bring their own drinks (BYOB)
Hor d'oeuvres will be provided along with coffee, tea and water. Any classmate is welcome to bring finger food
Saturday ~ August 20th
casual dress code ~ 9 am to ????????
All Saturday events will be held at the Newberry's** building.
Breakfast to be served beginning @ 9 a.m. ~ coffee, water, tea, cinnamon rolls, fruit
Lunch to be served at Noon ~ Croissant sandwiches

Pictures to be taken promptly at 5:30 p.m. Cost of pictures will be in addition to your reunion reservation fee ($10 for a 5 x 7 or $12 for an 8 x 10 ~ please send money for the photo at the same time you send in money for your reservation).
Dinner at 6:00 p.m. will be a catered buffet with a no host bar at the Events Room of Newberry's (catered by Diana Hagen Martinez: Menu: rolls, shredded beef and chicken thighs and breasts, salad, green beans, corn, sheet cake ~ 1/2 chocolate, 1/2 white.
All friends and relatives will be invited to join the 1961 AHS class after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening at Newberrys. Be sure to let your friends and relatives know they are welcome. Spouses and guests are welcome to attend all events.
- A tour of the Knight Museum will be available at 10 am (Guide ~ Becky Thomas)
- A tour of the new Alliance National Veteran's Cemetery will be at 1 pm (Guide ~ Director Allan Pannell)
- Carnegie reception ~ 2 - 4 pm
- The Sallows Military Museum (where the old, old swimming pool was) will be available from 1 pm to 4 pm (there will be someone there to answer questions, but no guided tour)
Sunday ~ August 21st
casual dress code ~ 10 am
Brunch at Hoffhaus (hosted by Rosa Lee Cornette Hoff), 508 East Fourth

The Carnegie Arts Center will be hosting a reception for the AHS class of 1961 on Saturday, August 20th from 2 - 4 pm.

Artists from all types ~~
paintings, carvings, jewelry, pottery
~~ are welcome.
Bring one or two pieces of things to be hung or on artist easels so there is enough room for all.
According to Dick Markoff, Alliance has a wonderful facility - one of the best small galleries he has ever seen.

- If you need hotel reservations, go to this site.
- To make your reservation for the reunion, go to this site. Deadline is July 15th ~ Committee will still take reservations at this time ~ posted July 26th.
- Denny Shimp will reserve spots on a first come, first served basis for RV's. More info at this site.
**Newberry's Building has been purchased by a couple of young Alliance businessmen. It has been remodeled extensively. Their Facebook site shows some pictures of the newly remodeled event room
