In Memory ~ Jensen, Arnold (Arnie)

Arnold Dean Jensen (Arnie), age 76, passed away at home, in Rapid City on Sunday morning, May 3, 2020.
He is survived by his lifelong love of 54 years, Linda Herbert Jensen. They were united in marriage in Alliance, NE on June 12, 1965. Their children and spouses include Theron (Shari) Jensen of Littleton, CO, Peter (Jill) Jensen of Rapid City, SD, Stacia (Mike) Daniel of San Antonio, TX, Christa (Chuck) Marx of Ostego, MN, Chelsie (Jason) Huseman of College Station, TX, Brandon (Crystal) Jensen of Minot, ND, and Adam Jensen of Omaha, NE. He was the proud grandpa of 12 grandchildren including Christian, Lauren and Madison Jensen, Hayden and Amelia Jensen, Ashleigh Daniel, Weston and Mason Marx, Caleb Huseman, Trena Ackerman, Kasey Jensen and Keyonna Belstead.
Arnie farmed near Hemingford, NE and was a crop inspector and adjuster for nearly 47 years. Arnie’s unconditional love of people, passion for life, support to his family, and his faithfulness to his Lord never wavered. He lived a life of deep faith openly, and passed that legacy on to his children, grandchildren, friends, family, and most every person he met. Arnie is standing before his Lord, breathing deeply of heaven’s air, swapping stories with saints who went before him, looking for the best fishing hole and tending beautiful gardens. We are all looking forward to seeing him again.
His family has decided to conduct a private service which will be recorded and available after Saturday, May 9th for remote viewing on the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home website. Cards to the family or donations in Arnie’s memory to the First Wesleyan Church of Rapid City can be mailed to the funeral home at 2700 Jackson Blvd. Rapid City, SD 57702.

This is what was in our 50th class reunion booklet:

After receiving a B.S. and M.S. degree in Biology and returning to the Alliance/Hemingford area in 1969, we raised most of our family in the area (supporting them through college or one of the US armed services).  Five years ago, on a pinochle night (along with a few drinks) in Mar of 2006, a farm neighbor/friend came by with a business plan.  By  June, we were relocated in Wisconsin (after I had convinced Linda to leave the nest), as co-owners of an RV park (Website address is http://www.haywardcamping.com/).  We deal with 800 people every week-end from early spring through mid October (more people than the population of Hemingford).  I will never retire ~ I enjoy dealing with people and working with my hands.  During the winter I am still a produce inspector and crop insurance adjuster for field damage.  This year we will be attending the KOA Convention in November in Las Vegas.  All seven kids were home for Christmas this last year…calling me names because of my lack of computer knowledge as they texted each other in the same room and read on their Kindles.
