After graduating from Alliance High, I attended Kansas State University and graduated with a BA in Speech.  I taught for one year in Nebraska City and then went back to the University of Nebraska to pursue an MBA in Finance.  I spent one and a half years there before taking a teaching and coaching position at Cherry Creek High School (teaching high school English).  After 30 years there, I retired at age 55.  During that interim, I married at age 37 and was divorced 7 years later.  However, I have two great children: my daughter Kendra (28) who lives in Chicago and works for a design firm and teaches graduate students at the college she attended.  I also have a son Jon (25) who graduated from the University of Colorado with a Finance degree and presently is a banking officer for 1st Bank here in Denver.   I also completed my MBA at the University of Colorado.  After retiring, I married again to a "fabulous" woman at age 58.  She has two wonderful daughters and they each have two children.
Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with leukemia at age 60 and had a bone marrow transplant.  Thankfully, the transplant was successful (I was very blessed).  However, due to the after effects, life is not as great as it was but still good!  My wife, Nancy, is retiring in June and we plan to do some traveling.  Last summer we enjoyed two weeks in Europe (Barcelona, Rome & Paris) along with an eight day cruise on the Mediterranean.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Memorials written on the obituary page:
Jim will be greatly missed by family and friends. As we move along in age, we are all reminded of our mortality. Jim has been a friend since we were in the 6th grade and his passing seems too quick. His determination made him a great competitor which lead to many exceptional athletic feats, both personal and team oriented. May he rest in peace. He will not be forgotten.
With our deepest sympathy and love, Jerry (Culp)
So sorry. Jim was a high school friend. Prayers to you and family. Betty Sup
